The 69th Nehru Trophy Boat Race will be held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 from 11:00. Final At 04:00 PM IST at the Punnamada Lake in Alappuzha, Kerala. The race is named after Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, and is considered to be the largest team sport in the world.

The race is open to all chundan vallams (snake boats) from Kerala. A chundan vallam is a long, narrow boat that is traditionally used for fishing and transportation. The boats are made of jackwood and can carry up to 100 rowers.
