Construction of Lulu Group’s 400-crore food park in Kalamasery and 150-crore marine export park in Aroor is in progress.
The Lulu Group has around 250 hypermarkets worldwide. They have giant hypermarkets in Kochi, Trivandrum, Bangalore, Triprayar, and Lucknow.
Lulu Group is preparing for a big investment in India. Preparation started to open Hypermarkets / Malls in Chennai, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Kottayam, Kozhikode, Tirur, Perinthalmanna, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Prayagraj. Already started construction in Kottayam, Kozhikode, and Palakkad.
The construction of Kochi’s second Lulu Hypermarket at Maradu Prestige Forum Mall is in its final stages.
This way, ice, vegetables, fruits, packed food to fish and meat will go to over 250 hypermarkets from Kochi including exports.
Remember, 550 crore mega food parks are not that small. Thousands of new jobs will be created. Cargo handling will increase significantly. The movement of goods in and out of the city will increase as part of the food park. Being highly perishable food products, export through CIAL will increase.
