2D BG Artist Vacancy At Animations Media, Thiruvananthapuram

We’re looking for 2D Background Artists who have a great understanding of perspective, lighting and color to produce work that fits with the style of the project. You will be collaborating with other departments in our Studio to obtain the best results. The domain of work would include 2D Digital Animation for TV, Comics, Explainer Videos and E-Learning Videos that appeal to wide audiences.

Responsibilities:
Follow the key BG reference and paint the B/W layouts with proper color, shadows, highlights to bring the perspective.
Should work creatively and be able to generate forests, cities and modern interiors.
Will be working on Photoshop- CS tools and higher versions.
Understand how to use light and shadow, and how to create atmosphere
Be able to follow established designs
Understand the 2D animation process, including camera mechanics

Preferred skills:
0-2 years of Animated feature film experience. (Freshers will also be considered)
Knowledge of advanced painting techniques including color space, digital paint techniques and Photoshop file management is a huge plus.
Ability to match existing art styles.
Exceptional Layout and visual sense of coloring and making Backgrounds Designs.
Be imaginative and creative to design without any guidance.
Be able to deliver on schedule, working calmly and efficiently under pressure and perform under tight deadlines.
Have good team working skills
Be able to take direction and be willing to address constructive feedback
Some knowledge in Adobe Flash/Animate or Adobe Illustrator will be a big plus.
