Chavara Bhavan

Chavara Bhavan is a significant historical and religious site located in Alappuzha (also known as Alleppey), Kerala, India. It is the ancestral home of Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara, who was a prominent social reformer, educator, and the co-founder of the Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (C.M.I.), a Catholic religious congregation.

Chavara Bhavan has been converted into a shrine and a pilgrimage center dedicated to Saint Kuriakose Elias Chavara. Many devotees and visitors, both locals and tourists, visit this place to pay their respects to the saint and learn about his contributions to society.

The site has preserved various artifacts, documents, and memorabilia related to the life and works of Saint Chavara, providing visitors with insights into his significant role in Kerala’s history and culture.

Please note that there might have been developments or changes related to Chavara Bhavan after my last update. I recommend checking more recent sources for the latest information and visiting official websites or local sources for the most up-to-date details before planning a visit.
